The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist has the responsibility and accountability for providing advances nurse practice while administering anesthesia to patients. This includes taking a leadership role in the planning implementation and evaluation of the plan of care provided by the patient care team. The CNRA provides technical care and interventions to a designated patient population per the departments Scope of Practice (infant to elderly adults) in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individuals served. This position is responsible for preparing and administering anesthesia agents to surgical, obstetric, radiologic, and endoscopic patients.
The CNRA will work with direction and/or direct supervision of a physician. Responsibility and accountability of anesthesia services lies with the Service Chief for Anesthesiology.
This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital. It is expected that the associate demonstrate behavior consistent with the CoreValues. The associate shall support the CHRISTUS St Frances Cabrini?s strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).
