We are looking for Data Engineer or Analytics professional to translate Valmet business requirements into data requirements. Our team is building custom made volume related planning and reporting solution on top of Azure platform. This solution will meet the functional and analytical requirements to support the daily business in Valmet. We are a centralized team of professionals that lead Valmet on its journey towards industry leading reporting, planning and analytical capabilities.
In our team, you would collaborate with different business lines and function stakeholders to fulfill their complex data, analytics, and reporting requirements.
Your responsibilities include:
- Translating business process related requirements into data requirements.
- Grow understandings of our ERP data model and other source systems.
- Collaborating with our vendor by designing data solutions that support our business processes.
- Technical data lead (internal) in development project.
- Identify development process and architectural improvement areas.
Requirements:
You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field and several years work experience with data, analytics development, or data warehousing. You can work independently and co-operate with different stakeholders to produce results. You create innovative solutions to meet business requirements and have good documentation and presentation skills. Also you have:
- Experience working with IT, business, and development partner representatives. Finance process understanding considered as a plus.
- Several years of experience working in data, analytics, or data warehouse development projects.
- Experience with BI tools and databases.
- Good SQL skills for data analyzing and basic understanding of ETL logics.
- Basic level understanding of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems.
- Solid communication skills in English. Finnish considered a plus.
- Keen interest in following industry trends and best practices.
