Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and efficient Dish Machine Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating the dishwashing machine, cleaning and sanitizing dishes, glassware, and utensils, and ensuring that the kitchen is stocked with clean and organized equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate the dishwashing machine, following manufacturer’s instructions and safety guidelines
- Load and unload dishware, glassware, and utensils into the machine, ensuring that items are properly placed and secured
- Sort and stack clean dishes and utensils in their designated areas
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment by hand
- Assist kitchen staff with cleaning and organization tasks, such as sweeping and mopping floors and wiping down countertops and appliances
- Follow health and safety regulations and maintain food handling and sanitation standards
- Notify kitchen staff of any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs
- Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area, including disposing of trash and recyclables
- Assist with stocking and organizing supplies and ingredients in the kitchen
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or dishwashing environment preferred
- Knowledge of proper dishwashing techniques, including the use of chemicals and sanitizing agents
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
