Seeking an anesthesiologist for Women's and Children's Hospital in Lafayette, Louisiana. Pediatric experience extremely helpful. An anesthesia care team of 5 MD's and 4 CRNA's provides services for approximately 3,400 surgeries and 3,200 deliveries per year.

Lafayette is part of an eight-parish area called Acadiana, known as "The Cajun Heartland." This fourth-largest city in the state has a growing population of over 110,000 and is home to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. It is nestled comfortably between Houston, Texas (230 miles to the west) an! d New Orleans (130 miles to the east), 35 miles north of the G! ulf of Mexico and 50 miles southwest of state capital Baton Rouge. The area is rich with forests and prairies interlaced with bayous, swamps and marshes. With around 215 days of sunshine each year.

Cases include gynecology, general surgery, pediatrics and neonates. Strong skills in OB and peds required. An advanced medical staff focused on unique health needs of women and children.

Salary range of 300k, benefits to be further discussed in an interview.

50 bed NICU
12 bed PICU
5 OR's
5 Anesthesiologists
Off-site locations include ASC's
Anesthesiologists occasionally do all of their own cases
Call is in house Rotation is 1 Weekday, 1 Friday / Sunday per month
Post Call Days are always off
Daily start time is 6:30am - 2:30pm
Cases are Pediatric and OB Anesthesia
DEA and CDS Not required but preferable
Privileges take 75 Days Minimum
Temp Privileges most likely offered
