Role Introduction


Reports to: Head of Fleet and Passenger Schedulin

The jobholder will conduct aircraft evaluation and modelling for fleet projects and perform profitability analysis with a view to the long-term investment decisions that is beneficial to the company.

Key Responsibilities


  • Lead the aircraft economic evaluation process and modelling to support decision- making forspecific fleet projects
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to evaluate the financial
    viability of proposed deals under the projects
  • Provide support to management in preparing executive updates on fleet projects as well as fleet related recommendations
  • Support aircraft reconfiguration projects with recommendations on seat count and class mix to ensure revenuemaximization
  • Collaborate with Flight Operations
  • Take an active role in the drafting of business cases and board papers required to
    support fleet projects.
  • Collaborate with Flight Operations to identify and implement initiativesto conduct
    payload/rangeassessmentand achieve weight/fuel savings
  • Collaborate with other departments within the airline,in particular Procurement &
    Aircraft Trading as well asEngineering, to ensure that aircraft economic evaluation is integrated into broader business planning processes
  • Provide training and support to other team members and stakeholders on aircraft
    economic evaluation techniques and best practices

Requirements


  • Holder of a bachelor degree
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in the financial industry, with at least 2 years
    involvement inaircraft economicsevaluation
  • Sound commercial acumen
  • High proficiency with data and numbers
  • Strong financial modelling skills using NPV and IRR techniques
  • Some knowledge of aircraft performance, aircraft systems and retrofit programmes
  • Capability to articulate complex issues in simple terms and communicate the same effectively with a broad range of stakeholders in order to drive progress and facilitate decision-making
  • Capability to deal with ambiguity and focus on what matters as a priority
  • Sound project management experience
  • Good interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Strong drive and self-initiative
  • Can be trusted to appropriately handle commercially sensitive and confidential
    information
