Job Description


What will you do?

Within this varied role you’ll play an integral part in ensuring a functional and organised office environment, helping our busy teams operate effectively, and improving our office environment and admin processes. This role is a mix of administration and IT support duties and sits within a friendly, sociable team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing office supplies and IT equipment
  • Ensuring the office environment is safe, tidy and kept in good working conditions
  • Managing reception, managing general mail and enquiries, and coordinating contractors
  • Supporting events and meeting organisation, programme administration and reporting
  • Carrying out other administrative duties, incl. supporting other teams as required
  • Providing new starters with the required IT equipment and delivering an induction into the use of our main IT systems
  • Providing basic level IT support to staff, and liaising with the IT manager
  • Carrying out the role of systems administrator, managing user accounts and resolving queries from staff

What is your profile?

You’ll understand the importance of a support role of this nature for the success of the organisation, you’ll take a proactive and friendly approach to work. To be considered for this role you will also need:

Essential:

  • Proven experience within a role where you have had to multi-task and be organised whilst ensuring attention to detail
  • Be confident working with both hardware and software even if you haven’t undertaken an IT based role
  • Ability to come to the Oxford office as this is an office based role

Desirable:

  • Experience setting up new starters with hardware/software
  • Experience within a similar office support role
  • Experience setting up and managing meeting rooms
  • A relevant qualification in administration and/or IT
  • Interest/knowledge in sustainability within agricultural production and supply chains.

Key information:

Location: Oxford

Salary: £25,000 – £28,000 depending on skills and experience (Pro-rated for part time)

Hours: Full time or Minimum 3 days per week or 4/5 shorter days. Flexibility around hours can be discussed.

Requires unrestricted eligibility to work in the UK.
