Job Description
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- To uphold the Fairmont Century Plaza values and mission statement while performing positional responsibilities
- To adhere to company policy and procedures, as stated in the company Handbook
- To provide the highest quality service to all guests at all times, by instilling the company philosophy,
- Sets up, breaks down and resets the In Room Dining service station
- Answers and takes phone orders using proper standards and etiquette
- Delivers proper, efficient and friendly service to our guests in their rooms and other assigned hotel and residence spaces
- Delivers orders, requests and amenities in a timely manner to the correct rooms / residences
- Sets up complete and correct trays and carts to be delivered according to the guests’ requests
- Explain food and beverage items in detail to our guests
- Picks up and removes dirty trays and tray tables
- Completes and processes paper work required for In Room Dining
- Controls costs and waste
- Works well with others as a team
- Prepares food and beverage
- Clears any and all trash, dirty dishes and glassware, IRD carts, or similar from public spaces
- Assists in filling in at other F&B areas as agreed
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Additional Information
- 6 months or more of In Room Dining, preferably in a luxury hotel or fine dining setting
- Possess a proven track record for guest satisfaction
- Possess a strong sense of urgency
- Displays a pleasant and cheerful disposition
- Maintain a high level of integrity
- Displays a confidant and professional appearance at all times and always meets company grooming standards
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Adapts in difficult situations, problem solves and makes decisions when necessary
- Shows eagerness and capacity to learn
- Able to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays
