Quality Control Inspector
As part of the Metallurgical Engineering & Inspection department at Braya Renewable Fuels, the Quality Control Inspector is responsible to conduct examinations and inspections on repairs and alterations to pressure retaining items, monitor materials and consumables for code compliance, Monitor welding both in the shop and the process area to ensure procedures are being followed and that welds are only being completed by qualified welders, assist in maintaining the Metallurgical Engineering and Inspection Department's Equipment Records and ensure Quality Packages are completed properly

Qualifications

  • Engineering Technology Diploma or have equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Level II Visual Inspection certification (CWB)
  • CGSB Certifications would be an asset
  • API or NBIC certifications would be an asset
  • Familiar with applicable codes and standards including the National Board Inspection Code
  • Minimum of 3 years of work-related refinery experience
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven dedication to health, safety and environment

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly lifts/moves object up to 25 lbs. Occasionally lifts/moves >50lbs. Push/Pulling forces up to 50lbs are required
  • Work repetitively involves reaching/stretching, bending, and twisting; regular standing, walking, and climbing
  • Use of gross and fine motor skills and maintaining physical balance (e.g., Ladders/scaffolding)
  • Work environments can present exposure to loud noises or environmental hazards
