Variable schedule Monday – Friday, with night and weekend hours required to accommodate the needs of the football program.
Primary Purpose of Position
This position serves as the Assistant Equipment Manager for Football with responsibility for providing assistance with all areas of the football equipment room to include forecasting of equipment needs, allocation, maintenance, repair, and replacement. Employee must be AEMA (Athletic Equipment Managers Association) certified or possess ability to obtain certification within one calendar year.
Minimum Education/Experience
Required Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalency.
University Preferred Qualifications:
Graduation from high school or successful completion of its equivalency and one year of relevant experience in the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Essential Job Duties
The Assistant Director of Football Equipment is responsible for assisting the Director of Football Equipment in all aspects of an NCAA DI football room. Functions include but are not limited to: ordering and receiving of gear and apparel, maintaining accurate inventory records and files, laundering and repair of equipment. Stay informed of and adhere to all NCAA, conference affiliation, and university rules and regulations.
Other Work Responsibilities
Other duties as assigned by Director of Football Equipment.
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
- Valid Driver’s License
- AEMA Certification or certifiable within one calendar year
- 2+ years of experience in football equipment
