Location - Aberdeen, WA, 50% remote 25% in-office, 25% local travel

The Dispute Resolution Center of Grays Harbor & Pacific Counties (“DRC”) is a nonprofit organization that provides highly skilled, trauma informed, professional mediation and conflict resolution services to people and organizations of all income levels in Grays Harbor & Pacific Counties.

About the Position

**This position hires at two levels depending on experience, with higher-qualifying candidate becoming a Dialogue Project Manager.**

We are looking for a Community Liaison who will be responsible for the Dialogue Project, a 3-year collaborative project to improve our community’s ability to engage in dialogue. The Community Liaison will ensure that the project objectives and goals adhere to the overall project timelines, support the development and management of a project advisory table, lead community outreach, set up community engagement, and ensure continual engagement from the community. The Community Liaison should have strong community engagement or community organizing experience, ability to work with little supervision to manage competing deadlines, and manage persons and relationships from diverse socioeconomic, ethnic and cultural backgrounds. If hired at the higher level, the Project Manager will be expected to lead versus support the completion of project management tasks described in specific job function section.

Qualifications/Skills:
Required:

  • Community engagement or community organizing experience
  • Successful completion of a basic 40-hour mediation training and trauma informed training or ability to complete within 3 months of hire.
  • Experience or willingness working in either a remote and in person office setting.
  • Ability to prioritize among competing deadlines in a fast-paced office.
  • Excellent attention to detail, deadlines, time management and follow-through.
  • Effectively communicate orally and in writing.
  • The ability to effectively deal with stressful, conflicted, and emotional situations.
  • The ability to maintain strict confidentiality of privileged information.
  • Strong interpersonal communication in a collaborative team.
  • Confident telephone demeanor.
  • Effectively navigate virtual platforms such as Google and Zoom.
  • Competency with Microsoft computer network applications, Google Drive, email, and confidence learning and working with other computer systems.
  • Perform tasks with professionalism, tact, and empathy.
  • The ability to work with persons from diverse socioeconomic, ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
  • The ability to manage a flexible work schedule – some evening and weekend work is necessary.
  • Possess current driver’s license and personal transportation to conduct activities in Grays Harbor County.

Strongly preferred:

  • Willingness to be involved in and complete mediator certification or certified as a mediator.
  • Experience in a community dispute resolution center.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/ English)

Dialogue Project Manager requirements:

  • In addition to the above.
  • Project management skills and experience.
  • Ability to manager, plan and coordinate activities of projects to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed timeframe and budget.
