The EMEA Export Coordinator will be a key role within a very busy export team, assuming primary responsibility for all outbound shipping, customs compliance and operational effectiveness in the HID Fulfilment Centre [FC] in Shannon.

As our Export Coordinator, you’ll support HID’s success by:

  • Ensuring smooth operation of customer collected shipment process
  • Creation of shipping plans in conjunction with logistics partners/department
  • Liaising between the shipping, customer services, freight forwarders, compliance and operations teams
  • Creation of all and any export related documentation
  • Supporting on time delivery to customers
  • Ensuring timely and accurate provision of shipping related information to key stakeholders
  • Participating in the implementation of containment, corrective and / or preventive actions related to specific issues or KPI misses.
  • Proactively escalating potential issues in order to minimize safety, quality, delivery issues and / or operational inefficiencies
  • Maintaining & controlling of policies, procedures and best practices
  • Working collaboratively across functional boundaries with but not limited to customer service, buyers, planners, schedulers, quality and the logistics group.

What we will love about your background:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in international shipping, preferably acquired in a high-tech product exporting business
  • Fully conversant with all aspects of domestic and international shipping to include haulage, air and ocean freight
  • Experience of global Incoterms 2020 and an understanding of their application and ramification throughout the supply chain
  • Working knowledge of and extensive experience working with Irish Revenue Automated Entry Processing systems
  • Skilled in all aspects of distribution/fulfilment warehouse activities and processes
  • Expert in export documentation requirements
  • Must possess an innate sense of collaboration and interpersonal abilities as success of this role will depend on strong relationships with peers in other areas.
  • Skilled at managing time and priorities

Your Experience and Education include:

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Familiar with Oracle or similar ERP system
  • Familiar with Thyme or similar system
  • Familiar with carrier (DHL, UPS, TNT, FedEx etc.) or similar systems
