What you will be doing:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a talented Analyst to join the team at Nepean Hospital in a Full Time permanent position. The ICT Network Analyst is responsible for providing design, implementation, security and maintenance of the district’s wired and wireless enterprise data networks, firewalls, NAC and relevant supporting systems. Our Network Analysts consult with members of other ICT staff including project managers as well as the clinical side of our organization to develop and implement the best solutions for our customers. Our network strategy is always pushing the boundaries of technology and we need you to help shape its next evolution. The position requires associate level technical knowledge of TCPIP, ARP, STP, OSPF, WiFi and the determination to make them function in accordance with the evolving industry best practices. The role has the challenge of performing all aspects of network management including support, break-fix, consulting, design, installation as well as infrastructure life-cycle management and reporting, following ITIL processes.

Selection Criteria to be Addressed:

  • Demonstrated understanding of networking technologies, including switching and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, TCP, IP, VLAN’s, ARP, Spanning Tree), switch stacking, DNS, DHCP & firewalls.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain and support enterprise-grade wired, wireless, firewalls, using a service management framework such as ITIL to provide capacity, availability, problem, and incident management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a highly diverse team along with the ability to be self-motivated and work in an unsupervised environment as an independent, self-managed multi-skilled IT Network professional.
  • Demonstrated ITIL experience with a Service Delivery mindset, continuously looking to identify opportunities to improve the customer experience across ICT products and services.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication and reporting skills.
  • Demonstrated approach to ensuring relevant and up to date working knowledge of IT industry trends and services.
