We are looking for you,


Laboratory Engineer


to our R&D team in Singapore located in Science Park II.


You will focus on managing and improving facility asset integrity and reliability of the research laboratory premises. In this job you will work closely with our R&D Manager and the team to manage laboratory maintenance contracts, equipment investments and equipment lifecycles.

Your role in our team

Facilities


  • Coordinate with landlord on facilities and infrastructure needs including any additions, alterations and renovation to ensure layout optimization and compliance with regulations
  • Manage local contracts/contractors on lab facilities including all electrical systems, fumehoods, furniture and fixtures, cleaning services
  • Maintain facilities documentations
  • Manage projects to improve facility asset integrity and reliability
  • Raise and follow up on safety and quality issues related to facilities and assets to relevant departments for resolution
  • Manage laboratory maintenance contracts, equipment investments and equipment lifecycles
  • Plan and supervise facilities management activities by vendors to ensure safe execution that is in line with regulations, specifications, standards and codes, review task risk assessment and method statement from vendor/contractor, providing safety induction course and issuing verbal work permit to vendor/contractor

Safety


  • Maintain and upkeep inventory of safety equipment and PPEs

Keys to success in this role


  • Minimum Degree in Engineering, Chemistry or science-related field.
  • At least 3+ years’ experience in a laboratory environment
  • Experience with laboratory facilities and equipment
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
