About the Company:
Our client is a large listed group within fast paced Retail industry sector. As part of their business growth, they are currently looking for experienced Merchandise IT System General Manager with strong background in Retail Industry

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support existing Merchandise systems (Blue Yonder) to ensure they are functioning as required. This includes Merchandise Planning, Assortment Plan, Merchandise Allocation and Replenishment
  • Manage the implementation of new and ongoing maintenance of software and solutions.
  • Work with Developers and the Merchandise Systems Architect to ensure system designs will meet the requirements outlined for customer use
  • Define functional and technical standards along with best practices in the application development, system management, change reviews, code reviews and business system risk analysis
  • Review project status with project managers and assist in planning and organizing resources assigned to each project
  • Deliver solutions with the highest quality and timely manner
  • Drive change through influence, personal advocacy, vision, and consensus building
  • Evaluate technology acquisitions designed to optimize feature/function for long term supportability, vendor viability and total cost of ownership
  • Engage in day-to-day relationship management with vendors, hold them accountable for service quality/delivery and assist with creating cost-efficient & comprehensive contracts that protect AWG
  • Communicate roadmap and its relationship to the organization's mission, vision, and goals. Clarify actions needed to implement roadmap projects

Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree (STEM preferred) and minimum 7+ years of experience in Product Support
  • Proficiency in Blue Yonder System (Enterprise Planning, Luminate Assortment, Luminate Allocation) is a MUST
  • Strong Retail Planning domain experience
  • Possess Strong Techno-Functional Expertise
  • Demonstrable experience, thorough knowledge, and interests in Cloud native architecture, Multi-tenant SaaS solution and Cloud Scalability, performance and High availability
  • Good communication (verbal and written) with system users, the business community and IT staff.
  • Manage own work to delivery according to deadlines and be accountable for delivery of work.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to customer service; displaying problem resolution and support capabilities.
  • Problem solving of the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, Merchandising Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and other supporting solutions in the Retail Design
  • Collaborate with other enterprise IT teams and Vendors to establish integrations in/out of systems to support the required end to end business processes
  • Create test cases/scripts and perform unit and integration testing, while also supporting user testing
  • Experience in Retail Industry and in discerning true business requirements and fit for purpose and fit for use solutions
  • Able to adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs
  • Must be assertive self-starter with a “can do” attitude and excellent organizational skills
  • Proven resource in developing systems requirements, proposing best practices, designing and prototyping, testing, training and defining support procedures.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skill
