POSITION TITLE: Wash Crew - LEAD DEPARTMENT: OPT
MANAGER’S TITLE (Reports to): Station Manager FLSA STATUS: Hourly, Non-Exempt
BASIC PURPOSE:
The Wash Crew Lead organizes and manages the Wash Crew in achieving a high quality of appearance and cleanliness for the Company’s vehicles, while ensuring that fleet-related risk and safety requirements are appropriately met.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Washes exterior body and windows of all daily operating commercial motor vehicles.
- Clean interior walkways, cargo bins, and passenger rows of motor vehicles by removing debris and trash.
- Must clean the floor and window tracks regularly.
- Must ensure that outlets are clean and in working order.
- Dump toilets in motor coach vehicles.
- Orders supplies as needed from operations manager.
- Perform other job-related functions as assigned.
- Must always be in uniform as per Employee Handbook.
- Enforces the department staff on the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and expectations of interior and exterior vehicle cleanliness. Ensures expectations are consistently met.
- Assists in the execution of daily duties and functions given to staff.
- Properly organizes and stores company cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Communicates with, and initiates directives from the Fleet Manager.
- Maintains consistent dialogue with management to ensure operational and administrative needs are met.
- Maintains clean, safe, and organized working conditions.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE: At least three (3) years of related operational experience is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Able to use good judgment and decision making while handling multiple situations.
- Able to speak English clearly and effectively as position requires strong communication skills to speak with employees and management through various methods and resources.
- Possesses considerable knowledge of safety principles and best practices
- Possesses basic to intermediate written communication skills.
- Understands operational principles and processes for organizational communication, ethics, safety, and compliance.
- Possesses basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Internet
