POSITION SUMMARY
The Workflow Specialist will be joining Radiology Partners’ largest practice in RP, Radiology Associates of Florida (RAF). This role will manage and supports the daily operations, workflows, client and personnel of the local practice. Your core responsibility will be to ensure cases are being read by our radiologists in a timely manner. The Specialist must utilize problem solving skills in real time as well as strategically evaluate real time performance and by any actions as necessary. To be successful in this role, you will need to be organized, reliable, results-driven and show constant focus.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Workflow management – proactively monitor capacity versus demand and identify when assistance is needed

o Determine plan to resolve and call on back-up radiologists as needed and release back-up radiologists when appropriate
o Identify any issues throughout the shift with higher volumes than projected during any given hour or higher demand than capacity schedule

  • Deep dive into number of credentials by radiologist and site as well as subspecialty for call type and distribute evenly throughout the shift as needed
  • In the event a site gap occurs, identify how long is the gap and which radiologists coming on first or identify when major concerns happen and escalate to operations
  • Identify, separate, and distribute relevant studies to appropriate radiologist
  • Manage radiologists breaks to ensure proper coverage is met
  • Distribute routine overflow cases during slow times
  • Identify and resolve issues related to radiologist schedule deviations
  • Proactively manage unplanned site down times and stroke & multi trauma cases
  • Review daily, weekly and monthly key metrics to identify trends or areas of focus
  • Develop, document and implement action plans as appropriate
  • Develop reporting as necessary to evaluate and trend performance – identify areas for potential adjustments in staffing
  • Participate in the design, implementation, and management of workflow improvements

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 4+ years of job relevant experience required
  • Demonstrate a willingness and ability to become familiar with all Radiology Partners workflows
  • Demonstrated ability to produce accurate work
  • Demonstrated self-direction and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing and competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive, performance-related information.
