Summary: The Bus Aide provides services as an employee of STAFFEZ serving the district. The Bus Aide will assist the school team and bus driver in maintaining a safe and positive atmosphere on the bus at all times.Essential Job Functions (note this is not an exhaustive list of the duties performed for this position):• Ensure children are seated while the bus is in motion.• Must have knowledge of the assigned bus route.• Make sure a responsible and approved party receives each child, if appropriate.• Ensure that the bus is empty at the end of each route, each day.• Ensure special needs students are transported in a safe and secure manner, as outlined by the school.• Follow district procedures for documenting and reporting any concerns.• Represent the District and STAFFEZ in a professional manner by performing all job functions at a satisfactory or above level.• Interact with co-workers, administration, students, parents, and the community in a positive, supportive, cooperative way.• Performs other related duties, including special projects, as required or requested, consistent with reasonable expectations for the contracted position.Qualifications:• High School Diploma or GED required.• Must complete the required Global Compliance Network online training modules.• Demonstrated record of good attendance and punctuality.• Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills.• Demonstrated ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication.• Must meet criminal history background requirements (requires FBI Fingerprint and SOARS clearance)Physical Requirements:• Must be able to lift, move, stoop, bend, and work outside in the extreme heat or cold.• Must be able to physically maneuver wheelchair for loading and unloading student(s) on and off bus.
