Job purpose
Guide, advise and lead the execution of Integrated Management & Innovation initiatives at RPI & Plastics, under Head of Integrated Management & Innovation scope, acting as senior senior-level expert and single focal point (for the assigned areas) to manage the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of an integrated management system that incorporates various management processes, including quality management, environmental management, and health and safety at RPI & Plastics through: (1) Lead the Integration of management systems with emphasis in quality management, environmental management, and health and safety management, into a cohesive and unified system, (2) Encourage the digital innovation and continuous improvement in all aspects of RPI& Plastics operations (from operation, product development to customer service), (3) Ensure to meet customer specific needs in terms of integrated management system, considering technological innovations, trends / new developments in the market, and final customer satisfaction, (4) Advocates for data-driven decision-making based on objective data, data analysis process, employees decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives/ digitally oriented; in order to improve availability, efficiency, effectiveness and accessibility of integrated Information System at RPI & Plastics with emphasis in the digital innovation and continuous improvement.

The position will act in accordance with the Group’s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines, and standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, HSE standards, Omani’s government & other legal justifications, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives.


Main tasks and responsibilities

Integrated Management Information

  • Overseeing the successful roll-out of digital initiatives through design, prototyping and full-scale roll-out
  • Research and analyse technology and industry best practice to identify approaches, systems to be adopted by RPI & PLASTICS
  • Define continuous Improvement initiatives and develop appropriate implementation programs including orchestrating change management because of the initiative implementation


Integrated Management Information Dissemination

  • Ensures that RPI & PLASTICS is disseminated to clients/users after the following tasks are properly done:
  • Develops and implements and manages processes to keep the IT corporate memory in place at the departure of RPI & PLASTICS’s employees and to answer to any Access to information requests.
  • Review projects work processes and identify improvement opportunities and digital value realization
  • Leading the conduction of detailed analysis of relevant market trends in technology
  • Build external networks to foster partnerships in emerging digital solutions
  • Allocate budget to initiatives and monitor implementation and expenditure


Integrated Management Information Architecture

  • Identify and develop formats and protocols for RPI & PLASTICS for sharing in order to ensure uniformity and consistency in information management.
  • Develops plans in collaboration with content users for integrating and delivering content to intranets, portals, document repositories, content management systems, etc.
  • Evaluates electronic records management tools and resources, tracks standards and technologies and makes recommendations for improvement based on findings.
  • Coordinates IM systems technological trends and developments and changes.
  • Liaises and engages with other IT organizations to research specific topics of interest to IM services and support.


Digital Innovation

  • Drive business excellence by implementing digitalized work environment and utilize best practices to achieve work efficiency.
  • Meet digitalization needs, lead initiatives and individual deliverables to solve business problems by improving customer experiences and delivering new business models.
  • Provide digitalization support through engagement with business streams to provide a digital roadmap at the integration stage to leverage process efficiency.
  • Support and evaluate the ideas and requirements received from the business by prioritizing digital innovation and leveraging opportunities.
  • Identify the use cases which offer the greatest value to the business solving prioritized immediate issues.
  • Automate processes and minimize the time spent on repetitive tasks.
  • Enables new system and technologies adaptation


Integrated Management Innovation (IMI)
Philosophy

  • Aligns with the IMI philosophy and incorporates various management processes by collaborating with various departments to identify areas of improvement and implementing strategies to streamline processes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001, and ensure that the organization follows these standards.


Coaching / auditing

  • Provides leadership and direction and coaching to the team and staff, ensuring that everyone is aligned with the IMI philosophy, and RPI & Plastics goals and objectives related with Integrated Management & Innovation initiatives / solutions.
  • Provides support to staff and management to ensure that everyone is fully engaged and committed to the integrated management system.
  • Audits RPI & Plastics' integrated management system to ensure that it is operating effectively and efficiently.

Education requirements

Minimum qualification required is a bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Enterprise Content Management certification would be helpful


Language requirements
Excellent knowledge of written, read, and spoken English (required) | Arabic - Native (desirable)


Background and experience

Experience
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in similar role
  • Experience in Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemical industry, preferably in the area/assets associated with this position
  • Experience, Knowledge of Open Text ECM for SAP solutions and other products associated Open Text products is a plus.
  • Experience and well versed in field investigation, inspections, troubleshooting, performance checks, data compilation, etc.
  • Experience in quality assurance and document control systems


Background

  • Integrated management systems,
  • process on refinery/petrochemical plant & equipment regarding static, piping & storage tank, applicable code & standard (API, ASME, ASTM, PIP & etc.) and project specifications.
